The Iron Curtain Trail (ICT) cycle route runs from the Barents to the Black Sea along the entire western border of the former Eastern Bloc countries. With a total length of 9000 km, it runs through 20 countries and is an integral part of the EuroVelo network of European long-distance cycling routes, which spreads across the entire European area via 14 connections with a total length of over 70,000 km.

The Slovenian part of the EuroVelo 13 cycling route is relatively short, but it crosses the geographically, linguistically, culturally and ethnically diverse landscape of Prekmurje, thus offering various possibilities for borderless surrender to cycling, natural and cultural pleasures of the border area with Hungary.
