The EuroVelo 9 cycling route (Amber Cycling Route) is a European cycling route that connects the Baltic Sea coast with the Adriatic. It enters Slovenia from Austria at the Šentilj border crossing. It first greets Slovenske gorice, Kozjak and Maribor, then crosses the Drava plain, the Celje and Ljubljana basins and descends through the karst regions to the Adriatic Sea in Trieste. Along the way, we encounter many cultural and natural sights, including the Škocjan Caves, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It then merges with the EuroVela 8 cycle path and re-enters Slovenia at Škofije. The cycle path leads through towns in Slovenian Istria and crosses the border with the Republic of Croatia at the Sečovlje border crossing.

The route in Slovenia is in the phase of final placement in space.

We will keep you informed about the status of development of the route.
